Visca LLC was founded in 2004 to provide services based on MEMS technologies and wireless sensing systems.  This company is a spin off of the SSIM Program located in the College of Engineering at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI.  The company was founded to further develop, market and license tangible sensing systems, wireless sensor applications, and wireless data transfer in a number of markets and industries.  The company has received two SBIR Phase I contracts and two SBIR Phase II contracts from the Army.  Visca specializes in research and development of integrated MEMS, microsystems, microsensor technologies, packaging, micropower, and their translation to the user.
